Even the base-line Highlander comes well-equipped with several features, however, if buyers seek more luxury and optional equipment they can opt for the top-line Sport or Limited trim level. Among various options, the Sport and Limited models come with a voice-activated touch screen navigation system that includes an eight-inch screen; JBL premium AM/FM stereo with a four-disc in-dash CD changer; and satellite radio capability MP3/WMA playback nine speakers with subwoofer Bluetooth hands-free phone capability.
The Sport and Limited grades also feature a standard backup camera with a 3.5-inch multi-information display. The display includes a backup camera monitor, clock, outside temperature, warning messages, and cruise information, including average fuel economy, average speed, distance to empty, current fuel economy, and trip timer. As the Sport and Limited models are equipped with the optional navigation system, the backup camera's images are viewed on the eight-inch navigation screen.
