2009 Toyota Highlander Specification - Seating
The 2009 Toyota Highlander seats up to seven passengers with its folding third-row seat and second-row bucket seats. Highlander's interior is longer and wider than the previous model. Its second row provides 40/20/40 split seatbacks, that functions as a three-person bench or as a pair of captain's chairs with armrests by removing the Center Stow seat. The third-row seats also function in a similar manner with the help of a lever in the back of the seat. The front seating features height-adjustable active head rests and eight-way adjustable driver's seat.
Highlander's new 2.7-liter, four-cylinder engine comes standard on the two-wheel-drive models with two-row seat package. The package also comes as an option on the 4WD Sport model. The third-row seat package is available on the up-level Highlanders for families that require additional seating capacity.
